SHOE CRUSH: Alexander Wang gladiator sandals SS13 [Aline High Sandal]

"Give a girl the right shoe and she can conquer the World"- Marilyn Monroe

Hello Lovelies,
I've been having a big crush on a shoe, the Aline high T-strap sandal by Alexander Wang Spring/Summer 2013 collection ($695.00 at Shopbop).

Even celebrities have fallen in love with the sandals, from Rihanna, who was the first to be spotted wearing Alexander Wang from head-to-toe at her performance at the X factor, to many other models and fashion icons.

So what do you think of the sandals? Do you like them in black or white?
Have a nice week!

Summer Trend: Street Style Looks with Denim Overalls

"Style is Way to Say Who You Are Without Having to Speak!" - Rachel Zoe

Hello Lovelies,

Denim overalls are just so awesome, especially for the summer. There are so many ways someone can style them up but these looks were my favorites. I really loved the neon pops in the black and white outfit and the Gold touch in the fourth look!

What do you think about Denim overalls for the summer? Yay or Nay?

Thanks for reading and have a Lovely day!

Trends seen on the red carpet of the Golden Globe Awards 2013

Hello Lovelies,
As we all know, last night was the Golden Globe Awards and the ladies were all gorgeous and glamorous in their dresses. Trends were observed

1. Floor-length dresses
It seems like these Hollywood ladies were into long, floor-length dresses

Left to Right: Jessica Alba is wearing Oscar de la Renta's silk faille trumpet gown from the PF13 collection (Alba completed her look with a $5.8 million Harry Winston diamond necklace, in addition to diamond earrings and a cocktail ring all set in platinum) | Emily blunt is wearing a Michael Kors dress | Lucy Liu is wearing a floral Carolina Herrera strapless gown | Jennifer Lawrence is wearing a coral Dior Haute Couture dress.
2. All Black or All white dresses
Many of the ladies did also go for an all black gown or an all white and they looked absolutely gorgeous in them.

Here are the ladies in white:
Left to Right: Anne Hathaway is wearing a Chanel's beaded strapless dress from the SS09 haute couture collection | Amanda Seyfried donned a custom Givency dress | Lea Michele wore an Elie Saab embellished halter gown with a high slit detail from the SS12 ready-to-wear collection | Hayden Panettiere looked glamorous in a Roberto Cavalli gown.

Here are the ladies in black:
Left to Right: Nicole Kidman wore an Alexander McQueen gown | Salma Hayek was wearing Gucci and she looked magnificent | Kate Hudson wore an Alexander McQueen gown with decorative glitzy-gold accents and a sexy keyhole cutout | Sofia Vergara wore a Michael Cinco dress.

And here are some more of the ladies who wore black dresses but went for a more daring look with plunging necks and leg splits, I mean they were extra gorgeous and they were among the best dressed of the the night:
Left to Right: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was gorgeous in her Yves Saint Laurent dress and Dana Rebecca and Norman Silverman jewelry | Katharine McPhee was extra gorgeous in a plunging Theyskens' Theory dress | Eva Longoria was extra stunning in an Emilio Pucci gown | Louise Roe, The Fashion Star host picked a lacy black dress and Jacqueline Nerguizian Fine Jewelry.

 3. Beaded and sparkling lace dresses
I think in this category, Keri Washington was the best dressed because it's just different. She wants to go with the trend of length-knee dress but then again she wants to add a personal touch to the outfit!

Left to Right: Keri Washington rocked a Miu Miu dress | Helen Hunt rocked a Dolce & Gabbana tulle and beaded column gown with rose satin underlay | Jennifer Lopez is rocking a Zuhair Murad's long-sleeve silk gown featuring an ivory embroidered lace overlay with beading detail from the SS13 ready-to-wear collection | Julianne Hough looked awesome in a white tulle and gold embroidered Monique Lhuillier gown.

Here are some other of our favorite Hollywood ladies who were rocking magnificent long gowns:

Top Left to Right: Halle Berry looked so sexy ang gorgeous in the Atelier Versace's one-shoulder blush and fuchsia printed gown from the F12 collection | Julia Louis Dreyfus lady is wearing a custom Vera Wang gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and hand appliqued floral chantilly lace with a gathered silk tulle overlay | Nicole Richie wearing a Naeem Khan gown | Jessica Chastain wore a daring Calvin Klein Collection seafoam silk crepe halter dress and $3 million worth of Harry Winston diamonds         Bottom Left to Right: Shaun Robinson The Access looked picture perfect wearing a strapless emerald green pleated chiffon and beaded Pamella Roland evening gown | Heidi Klum screamed sex appeal in an Alexandre Vauthier Couture gown and Christian Louboutin heels | Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) wore a Zuhair Murad's tulle gown featuring hand-embroidered floral lace detail | Sarah Paulson wore a black sleeveless v-neck gown with diamond and cascading tulle detail from Reem Acra's F12 collection.

Here are the ladies who seemed not to have gotten the memo about the dress code (ha!), nonetheless they looked nice:

Left to Right: Amy Poehler seems not to have gotten the a memo letting her that it was Long Gown Night Out on the carpet but she still looked great in this Stella McCartney suit and Charlotte Olympia heels | Marion Cotillard wore a custom orange velvet Christian Dior Haute Couture dress | Tina Fey The evening's co-host beamed wearing L'Wren Scott's custom cream silk and black chantilly lace embroidered dress

So which one was your best dressed?                                                                                    Origin of the photos: US Weekly

Fall Trend: burgundy by bloggers

Hello Lovelies,
There's no doubt that burgundy has been the 'IT' color of Fall 2012 season. From outfits on the runways to celebrities off-duty, the world of fashion has showed us that burgundy is here and perhaps it's here to stay.

Fashion bloggers, from all over the world, seem to have embraced burgundy with a joyful heart. From pop of burgundy to full outfit of burgundy, female fashion bloggers are making a big statement: they love burgundy and they are willing to show it!

In the men fashion world, it seems that only hints of burgundy are being dropped. Perhaps, men prefer to play the safe card and to stay away from full outfits in burgundy.

Happy Sunday and thank you for reading :)

[Guest Post] Granny Chic to Afro-Bohemian: NY Trends for Fall 2012

Granny Chic to Afro-Bohemian: NY Trends for Fall 2012
By Alexandra Jacobs

Found here, here, and here

According to Harpers Bazaar, the fall trends for the staple New York City style, include a retro mix of lace and floral, knit tweeds, and shawls. Seems like we'll be raiding our grandma's closets this fall!

Another trend that seems to be emerging is chic sport, creating that classy relaxed feel. Fur accents, elegant embroidery, and black leather seems to be hitting the runway enabling multiple stye senses allowing a bite of the big apple to taste different every time.

Some of the famous names this fall was Marc Jacobs, sending his models out with exaggerated shapes and cartoon size accessories. Fuzzy sweaters, loopy crochet shawls, and nubby tweeds at Oscar de la Renta, and Tory Burch lead to the granny chic trend that is emerging this fall.

Found here

Now looking at the fall trends for Brooklyn we see a lot of black and whites and leather accents. These trends create a more edgy girly feel to your style and let you explore your style boundaries. Brooklyn is taking a unique twist on the all-popular tribal print prevalent in many shops across the world. In shops such as Forever 21, tribal prints "chock a block" with African inspired prints in sticky synthetic fabrics. "Brooklynites" whose tastes hew closer to Humans of New York than H&M can just as easily invest in the August-ready real thing.

Calabar imports one of Brooklyn's newest stores are made of 100% Nigerian cotton unlike the flimsy flocks that line the stores now. The main trend going on in Brooklyn is referred to "Afro-Bohemian." Beaded Masai bangles, Taureg-style woven bracelets, and wax-print cotton clothing are erupting in stores all over Brooklyn.

Taking a look at the cheaper side of things, thrift stores have fall trends showing up for little money. Big trends showing up are: big stripes, whether it be a Parisienne boatneck or striped trousers, navajo patterns showing up in shirts, pants, dresses, scarves, etc, haircalf accessories, namely in crossbody bags, color block separates, any type of clothing being fair game in this, and the last trend this fall is scottish-inspired tartan, showing up in skirts, being paired with solid, plain basics. This fall we can see many trends emerging, and many trends fusing summer into fall.

New display of "New In"

Hello Lovelies,
I have recently received and bought new items that I wanted to share with you guys. Instead of displaying all the stuffs on a table or chair (hard surface) I thought I should just model them for you to kind of give them some life :). The whole outfit looks a little bit too much but decided to wear my items like this in order to display all the items at once.

Wearing: H&M pink and blue clutch | Gojane peach chiffon shirt | Charlotte Russe animal print necklace | Shiekh red animal print booties | Forever 21 mustard pants | Macy's black oversized hat

Do you like this new way of displaying what's new in my closet?
Thanks for reading :)

Most Wearable Fall fashion trends 2012

Fashion trends change consistently!!!
But so far, since the past 3 years, we've seen the same trends coming back again and again. By that I mean, there is no big changes that would make us change our whole closet.
Personally, I've nothing against it, on the inverse, I'm very happy because I get to reuse my long forgotten clothes, accessories and other items!
However, I wish we still had the yellow neon color (I know it's a summerly look) and the animal prints/patterns as trends....For some reason, I can't get over them!!
